About the Cathedral

Welcome to the Cathedral of the Madeleine Website. Under the patronage of St. Mary Magdalene, the Cathedral is the Mother Church for Roman Catholics throughout the State of Utah.

The Madeleine Choir School, the Cathedral’s Parish Elementary School began its twelfth academic year on August 27th. The PreK through Grade Eight School has over 230 students, and occupies a campus behind the Cathedral. The Choristers will return to worship services in the Cathedral on September 9th. 

 Tours of the cathedral are conducted on Sunday at 12:30.  Tours last approximately 45 minutes to an hour and begin at the main entrance.
